ADAPTED CLASSICS: The Iliad, The Odyssey, and Greek History (online camp in the liberal arts)

The purpose of this live ONLINE course is to spark pre-teen/early teenage students' interest in reading classic books and to teach them to engage in Socratic discussion about themes, characters, plot, etc. We will also focus on history related to the stories. Our summer 2025 readings are selections from Homer’s The Iliad and The Odyssey. The cost is $150 for 22.5 hours of instruction June 16-Aug. 13, 2025.

Sunset Jazz at Court Square

Sunset Jazz at Court Square is a free family friendly Jazz concert series hosted by Just Jazzin’. The series is held annually, every 2nd Sunday of May through October. It offers a great line-up of some of Memphis’ finest jazz artists, featuring different styles from straight ahead to swing. Grab a snack and a drink from one of the food trucks and sit down for an evening of great entertainment and door prizes. Limited seating is available. Lawn chairs and blankets are welcomed.
