Beginner Horsemanship Camp
Our Beginner Horsemanship Camp is perfect for those who have little to no horse riding experience and want to get a good foundation to learn more. This camp is structured for ages 6 - 10. Campers participate in morning classes five days a week at Panther Creek Stables. These classes are divided into small groups according to age and ability. Each group rotates through practical stable and horse management. Campers will learn how to safely be around horses, build confidence and learn basic barn safety, basic horsemanship, and grooming and tacking up. Students in the beginner program work towards the goal of riding independently at the end of the session!
English - June 22nd - June 26th
Western - July 13th - July 17th
Advanced Horsemanship Camp
Our Advanced Horsemanship Camp is perfect for the more experienced riders, ages 10 - 15, who are able to walk, trot, and canter on a new horse and tack up on their own. Campers will generally ride our Panther Creek owned horses, but can bring their own horse with prior approval from the equestrian director. Our English riders receive daily instruction in dressage, jumping, and equine management. Our Western riders receive daily instruction in horsemanship, rodeo events, and cow work. Our topics include training and competition psychology, equine management care, and more!
English - July 6th - July 10th
