Mardi Gras Bash

CMOM’s annual Mardi Gras Bash lets the good times roll throughout the museum with DIY floats, parades, dance floor, story time and much more.

We’re letting the good times roll down Main Street at the Children’s Museum of Memphis. Children can decorate their float, crown, and mask to prepare for the big parade, complete with beads and Zydeco music. Get your throwing arm ready to toss beads to the onlookers. If that isn’t enough, a DJ will spin Cajun-inspired tunes while dancers take the stage, and a scavenger hunt will lead you throughout the museum with a fun prize at the end. If you need a break, grab a spot on the carpet to hear the story of an old, tired alligator and his big pot of gumbo.
