On Saturday, June 15, Don McLean - one of the greatest singer-songwriters of all time, with songs such as “American Pie,” “Vincent (Starry, Starry Night),” “Castles in the Air,” “And I Love You So,” and many more – takes the stage. Since first hitting the charts in 1971, McLean has amassed over 40 Gold and Platinum records worldwide, and, in 2004, was inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame. In 2017, “American Pie” was selected for preservation in the National Recording Registry by the Library of Congress as being “culturally, historically, or artistically significant.”
Sunday Night, GRAMMY Award-winner Boz Scaggs is sure to bring back memories of lost loves and summer nights, with the supple growl familiar to anyone who grew up with “Lido Shuffle,” “Lowdown” and “Look What You’ve Done to Me.” Scaggs will feature his legendary blues and R&B covers and originals. His breadth of work is characteristic of a career that not only spanned 50 years but encompassed multiple genres. From his psychedelic days with the original Steve Miller Band, through his early solo albums that incorporated soul and blues, to his Silk Degree pop phase, Scaggs has traversed the musical landscape, holding all his work together with his instantly distinctive delivery.
The weekend also features a whiskey tasting and hand-rolled cigars, plenty of Memphis barbecue and more!
