Book Character Primaries: Choose Your Candidate

Get ready to cast your vote in our Book Character Primaries: Choose Your Candidate! On September 28th, 2024, from 1:00 - 3:00 p.m., youth in grades 12 and under are invited to the library to decide which book character duo will advance to the general election. This fun and educational mock voting simulation is designed to teach children about the presidential election process. No registration is required—just drop by the Information Desk during the voting window. The final two pairs will be revealed the following week, and stay tuned for the general election in October, where the Shelby County Election Commission will join us to teach us more about the voting process. Don’t miss your chance to be part of the action!
