Fantastical Fairy Houses at Memphis Botanic Garden

Make your own fairy house for your garden! Becky Zee will teach you the basics of ceramic work (pinch pot and slab construction) to build the foundation, and then will move on to demonstrate proper techniques for cutting windows and doors, attaching trim, adding chimneys, creating texture, and adding detail. When done constructing, students will be provided with a rainbow’s worth of clay paints to color their house. All skill levels welcome. Children age 10 and up welcome with parent.

All creations will be given a waterproof clear glaze and fired off site. Finished fairy houses will be picked up at MBG 2 weeks after class. Class fee includes all materials and use of any tools needed to build your tiny home.
