Agricenter Junior Fishing Rodeo

This year, the Jr. Fishing Rodeo will be structured a little differently. First, there will be no admission fee, although a registration form must be completed for each participating child, and a parent or guardian must accompany each child who is eligible to fish. There will also be no prizes awarded for categories such as first fish caught, biggest fish caught, or most fish caught. Our hope is that these changes will make the event safer for all guests and still allow children to enjoy the lakes.
The first 8 catfish caught by each registered child will be free. Participants can pay Walnut Grove Bait & Tackle $2.10/lb. for any fish they wish to keep over the first 8 catfish. Cleaning and fileting services are also available for an additional fee.
SCHEDULE:

You can register your child when you arrive, or you can print out this Registration Form (one per child) and bring it with you the day of the event.
RULES:
1. Participants must provide their own tackle for the event. Bait will be available for sale the day of the rodeo or you can bring your own (no live minnows).
2. A participant may have only one fishing line in the water at a time and only one hook per line.
3. A parent or guardian must accompany EACH CHILD who is eligible to fish.
4. Participants and all family members or other persons accompanying a participant enter at their own risk. Neither the rodeo, volunteers, sponsors, nor Agricenter staff shall be held liable for any loss, damage, harm or injury to any participant, or any family member or other person accompanying a participant, resulting from participation in the Fishing Rodeo or the use of the facilities and property.
5. Rodeo will be held rain or shine, but may be delayed because of lightning.
