Join us for the 20th Anniversary of the Hummingbird Migration and Nature Celebration, one of the Southeast's biggest nature festivals. Highlights include renowned guest speakers, guided nature walks, live animal shows, kids activity zone, wagon rides, nature-themed arts & crafts vendors, native plant sale and up-close views of Ruby-throated Hummingbirds being banded and released!
This year marks a significant chapter in the storied history of Strawberry Plains as we host our 20th annual Hummingbird Migration and Nature Celebration. Mirroring the continued growth of our on-the-ground, community conservation work over the last two decades, Strawberry Plains Audubon Center’s seminal event and fundraiser has evolved from an endearing local treasure into the National Audubon Society’s largest outdoor festival. As we reflect on the efforts which have led to this year’s 20th Celebration, we recognize there is much to celebrate, as we acknowledge the milestones we’ve achieved and the significant opportunities ahead due to your continued support of our year-round conservation work.
Audubon + Canon at Hummingbird Celebration
The National Audubon Society welcomed photographic industry leader Canon as a sponsor of the 2019 Audubon Photography Awards. Continuing this partnership, Canon will be returning to the 2019 Hummingbird Migration & Nature Celebration! Experts will be on hand during the entire Festival to demonstrate industry-leading, image-capturing cameras and lenses as well as their outstanding binoculars.
Canon Bird Walks at Hummingbird Celebration
In addition, special guided photography bird walks will be led by Audubon naturalists, where participants will receive hands on coaching from Canon photography experts, sharing their tips on how to capture memorable bird photos. Required registration and pre-payment, as well as more details, can be found here: Audubon + Canon Bird Walks.
*Photography Walk pre-payment does not include Festival admission*
